The performance of the PNI LED 2000 antenna is closely linked to the technical characteristics of the antenna under ideal installation and use conditions: SWR < 1.2:1, maximum applied power 500 W, impedance 52 Ohms, stainless steel, etc.

Communication distance

Communication distance is another decisive factor when choosing a CB antenna. Thus, the maximum communication distance of 10 km is achieved under ideal working conditions: calibrated antenna, open field without obstacles, station with maximum legally permitted power of 4W and standard reception. Any obstacle such as hills, mountains, or buildings can reduce this distance.

Length

The length of the antenna is another important factor that can influence the communication distance. Thus, the longer the antenna, the greater the range. The PNI LED 2000 has a length of 90 cm (coil + spike).

To use the PNI LED 2000 antenna, you need:

- a PL magnetic base with a cable long enough to mount the antenna on the car roof and a PL259 plug to connect the antenna to the CB station.
